The Embalex Group, a leader in the field of industrial packaging, has inaugurated its third platform in Spain with the opening of a new logistics center in Madrid. This initiative responds to the group's strategy of providing nearby services and having infrastructure adapted to the needs of its clients throughout Spain, where the demand for industrial packaging is constantly growing.
The arrival of the Embalex Group to Madrid has been finalized through a collaboration agreement with the absorption of ATE (Technical Applications of Packaging), a company with extensive experience in the logistics and industrial packaging of goods sector. Eduardo Cordovilla, with a solid track record in the automotive industry, will lead this project.
The new logistics platform, strategically located in Griñón, south of Madrid, covers 8,000 square meters and has the collaboration of 18 professionals. It is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for the unloading and handling of large goods, including two overhead cranes with a total capacity to lift up to 40 tons.
This opening meets one of the group's main objectives, which is the expansion of its geographical coverage. It is expected that services will be offered from Madrid to other markets such as Bilbao or Vigo.
These new facilities are added to the existing ones in Barcelona, where the Embalex Group has two logistics platforms.
The Embalex headquarters in Barcelona has three warehouses that total a covered area of 26,000 square meters, with six docks for loading and unloading and 70-ton cranes.
The second logistics base in the Port of Barcelona, with 11,000 square meters of surface and 1,500 meters of warehouse accredited as a Temporary Deposit Warehouse (ADT) and Customs Warehouse (DA), is managed by GESICA, a group company specialized in handling , lashing and cargo conditioning, and by NORAY Containers Logistics, a company specialized in the purchase and sale of new and used maritime containers.
With the recent incorporation of this new center, Embalex aspires not only to significantly reduce the logistics costs associated with its services, but also to consolidate a work environment that prioritizes safety at every stage of the process. This strategic step reflects the company's proactive and future-oriented vision, reaffirming its position as a fundamental pillar for those seeking next-generation industrial packaging solutions.
